FCWWC Mission
The First Coast Worksite Wellness Council, Inc. is an initiative of Healthy Jacksonville 2020. The mission of the Council is to improve the health of the First Coast community by sharing resources and providing guidance through our member businesses.
History
The FCWWC was established in 2008 as a community work group led by a partnership between the Florida Department of Health in Duval County and the City of Jacksonville Mayor's Council on Fitness and Wellbeing. This group was charged with impacting community health through the business community and to create a platform for local organizations to be recognized for excellence in workplace wellness. In 2009, the group held it's 1st local worksite wellness conference and formalized the partnership into a fully functional 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
How We Help
With effective management of employee health and wellness programs, organizations have successfully slowed the rise of their health care costs. The FCWWC is your community leader in supporting workplace health and wellness programs. We provide networking opportunities, training, education and resources to support the growth and development of wellness professionals and the organizations they serve. Programs and events are designed to support organizations who are new to wellness and those seeking to expand upon established programs. Join us to learn more!
